Safe and Sound Paediatric First Aid Course

Our consultant Henrietta Short attended a 6 hour paediatric first aid course at the weekend run by Safe and Sound who we recommend for all child safety and first aid training.

‘The course started at 10am and there was one break for lunch at about 1pm, finishing around 4pm. It covered CPR in depth along with choking, burning, shock, convulsions and many other topics. There was a lot of practical – and we were hands on practicing what we had learnt on the dummies which was invaluable. We were also provided with a hand book which covered everything mentioned through the day as well as other helpful information.
I would highly recommend this course to anyone who cares for or who has children, especially nannies – I found it particularly useful as I am expecting twins at the end of the year and now feel confident that I can deal with any first aid emergency to the best of my abilities.’
